For garden lovers, Nantwich has two of Cheshire’s most well known and loved garden centres. Stapeley Water Gardens has something for everyone with everything you need for the home and garden, for anglers there is the enormous angling centre.
Bridgemere Garden World is known as Britain’s largest and most spectacular garden centre, covering 140 acres. With a nursery growing nearly a million plants a year and six acres of themed, award-winning show gardens, its horticultural credentials are impeccable. Superb shopping in a huge undercover area ranges from gardening products and gifts to clothes and toys, whilst an excellent restaurant serves delicious home-made food.
Currently undergoing major renovation is Queens Park in Crewe, one of the finest formal parks in England's Northwest with bowling greens and boating on the lake it is a great location for a picnic or gentle stroll.
Cholmondeley Castle, near Nantwich, has extensive ornamental gardens set in the shadow of the magnificent gothic castle built in 1801 of local sandstone. The gardens contain many breath-taking views and visitors will enjoy the wonderful temple and rose gardens.
